Franny Donington Ayad
Franny Donington Ayad is a seasoned writer and editor. She spent seven years acquiring and developing non-fiction titles for Page Street Publishing Co., and independent publishing company based in Salem, Massachusetts. While there, her eye for design led her to take on a key role coordinating innovative book designs across departments. Prior to that, Franny served as the Editor-in-Chief of Scene Magazine, a Boston-based lifestyle publication.
Franny’s writing has appeared in Hippocampus, The Bucket, Laurel Moon Magazine, and others. Her essay “The Language of My Father” was selected to be read in Tell-All’s 2019 Reading Series. Franny was named a finalist for GrubStreet’s 2018 Emerging Writer Fellowship. She received her BFA in Writing, Literature and Publishing from Emerson College. Her essay “The Stranger in the Black Suitcase” won Highest Distinction in their 2018 Senior Writing Awards.
Franny lives in New Jersey. Aside from editing and writing, she enjoys gardening, spending time with her mom, and going to antique stores.
